Out of the 3 buns we tried on our East Village Saturday Sticky Bun Crawl (TM), the winner was Peels’ take on the classic. It was the a great combo of YUM + PECANS + JUST THE RIGHT SIZE. However, it was a little pricey at $3.50.
If you like a HUGE, very sticky bun that tastes like bread pudding, give the Rum Runner bun at Jane’s Sweet Buns a go - and for something more restrained and delicate, the Ugat Shmarim at Zucker Bakery is heaven. Seriously, there wasn’t a bad bun in the bunch!
I've noticed when my students attempt to post animated GIFs on their Tumblrs, they're static. Got any pro tips?
As the foremost authority on animated Tumblr GIFs, I appreciate you coming to me with this question.
The problem typically lies with the size of the GIF they are adding to their blog. Tumblr recommends avoiding large GIFS:
Large animated GIFs (greater than 512K or wider than 500 pixels) may lose their animation while being resized. Please avoid uploading unreasonably large animated GIFs.
My advice is to use the search function in the Tumblr dashboard to locate a blog that has already posted the GIF you are looking for. Then, copy the image URL and use it in your original blog post or reblog it directly.
This is how I get all the GIFs I use on my critically acclaimed blog, RebloggingGIFS.
