Happy Hour: Orange Blossom Special
2 oz gin
1 oz lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
2 dashes orange bitters
1 bar spoon of orange blossom water
Serve in an old fashioned glass with an orange twist. I am unsure of how much a ‘bar spoon’ of the orange blossom water is, so I basically just added a drop of two at a time until it tasted right.
The gin is very pronounced for me on the first couple sips, but after that I eased into the drink. It reminds me of summer, and on a night like this where this air is starting to chill with the first hint of autumn, sipping down a little summer brightness and warmth is comforting.
