Happy Hour: The Communist

You’ve probably noticed by now that I like fresh, fruity drinks. So the second I saw this recipe, I knew it was for me. The Communist likely gets it’s name because of it’s reddish coloring (thanks Cherry Heering!), though I doubt they were handing this out at communist rallies back in the day day. But if they were, this drink makes a powerful case for joining their party. It’s straight delish!
Despite the controversial name, this really is a great cocktail for anyone who doesn’t like a strong, boozey-tasting drink. It’s refreshing and yummy, and I can definitely see this coming into heavy rotation for me this summer. I think it could make for a good punch if you were to multiply the recipe, and perhaps even add some sparkling wine to the mix. Will have to investigate!
Justin says it’s ‘fruity’ and ‘better than an aviation’. Do with that what you will.
